Eighty-five percent of managers think that they are good communicators, but only 37% of employees know what their organization really does. What's going on? Why the mismatches? Christine MacNulty will explore various reasons for this, including values, personality characteristics, and individual propensities, in an effort to provide valuable insight that can help you improve your communications.
Christine MacNulty, President and CEO of Applied Futures, Inc., has over forty years’ experience as a consultant in long-term strategic planning, technology assessment and forecasting and socio-cultural change. Her clients include The Joint Staff, USMC, USCG, USA and NATO.
Christine has applied her knowledge of people, their values and beliefs to strategic planning and organizational change, marketing, advertising, technology assessment and business development. During her career, she developed methods and models for understanding social and cultural change that are widely used by industry. Most recently, she co-developed Cultural-Cognitive System Analysis (CCSA℠), a method for planning and assessing effective non-traditional operations, information operations and strategic communications.
In 1988, she was elected a fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, Manufacturing and Commerce for her contributions to British industry. She has co-authored two books and is a prolific writer. Her most recent papers, “The Value of Values for Information Operations, Strategic Communications and Intel” and “Perceptions, Values & Motivations in Cyberspace” appeared in the Information Operations (IO) Journal .
She has recently been featured on the Heartbeat of America television program as the owner of an innovative small business and was the developer and co-host of the radio program, “Strategy with Passion”, that aired on VoiceAmerica.com Business Channel from May through December 2009.
